The FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor is extremely small, and discreet, in addition to being water resistant. The continuous glucose monitoring sensor is placed on the back of the upper arm for the best results. The thin sleek design of the Libre 3 sensor is so narrow that it is thinner than two stacked pennies. It can easily be scanned underneath clothing. After the 1 hour start-up period, you can wear the sensor for 14 days. Abbott's Libre 3 sensor measures glucose every minute automatically and the most favored feature is that it doesn't require any fingerstick calibrations.

Inaccurate for 3-4 days

The sensor was significantly inaccurate (as compared to finger stick glucometer) for first 3-4 days following placement. I was seeing readings which were routinely 10-20 mg/dl above finger stick. Now, it's settled down and looking pretty accurate but for $125 I would expect it to be functioning properly more than 70% of it's lifespan. This is the first Libre 3 that i've tried so possibly just a one-off bad sensor. Hopefully the next one is better.

Not what I ordered

I ordered libre 2 sensor. I don't have a libre 3 reader so I don't know if these (Libre 3) sensors work.

Best device ever!

Metformin was making my numbers sky rocket so I stopped taking it and found an all natural alternative. With Libre3 I can now monitor my own glucose levels and from what I've been seeing there is something very wrong with what my PC has been telling me. My last checkup was 9.9. Using the Libre3 and the all natural alternative to Metformin, I've actually lost weight AND my AC1 is averaging 5.9! I knew all along what I was being told was not correct but could not put my finger on it. Now I have actual visible proof!

Love the new capabilities of the freestyle Libre 3

I have been using the Freestyle Libre 2 for a few year but wanted to be able to have the reading go to my phone automatically and the Freestyle Libre 3 does that. It is also so small you hardly know it is there. My only problem is unfortunately my insurance does not cover it for me, I am not sure why but I have been paying for it myself because it helps me so much with keeping my glucose in check.
