Glucose meters allow you to test blood sugar at any given moment in time. If you’re currently using one to manage diabetes, you know the routine. First, you insert a new glucose test strip into your glucose meter. Next, you prick the tip of your finger using a sterile lancet. Then, you place a drop of blood on the test strip and the meter quickly displays your blood sugar level at that very instant in time.

Make no mistake about it, today’s glucose meters are extremely accurate. Millions of people use them every day. Still, there are those finger pricks.
